On this stunning adventure you will visit the spectacular region of the Burren in the West of Ireland. Made up of a strange lunar-like limestone rock, the landscape is a breath-taking area, rich in botany and of great archaeological interest. Our guides will take you on our carefully-chosen tracks where you will explore the rugged terrain as well as numerous lakes and rivers. The scenery changes from dramatic mountain ranges, woodlands and fjords to sweeping open bogland and a rocky fractal coastline. Our journey will also take us on a very picturesque coastal walk in Clifton, often described as the Jewel of Connemara. This walk will aim to present the beauty and serenity of the area without being too strenuous so walkers of all abilities are welcome. Summer weather in the west of Ireland can be tricky at the best of times, so Hillwalking will require some essential equipment: strong waterproof boots, a waterproof jacket with a hood, gloves and a hat which you must bring along.
