Product Description

Workshop

Class Size: 15

Teacher: Pauline Openneer

Thoughts of Ireland - forty shades of green hills and many sheep. Especially in the beautiful county of Donegal, the remote North West area of the Emerald Island. And when thinking of sheep in Donegal, you might think of tweed - the area's most famous and traditional product. Sheep, wool, Donegal tweed - a lovely, warm mix.

We are pleased to be able to offer special workshops at the International Quilt Festival of Ireland with this beautiful product, designed and taught by Pauline Openneer. Pauline likes to work with a mix of both tweed and woven quilt cotton (homespuns). During the workshop we will go over making a Stonewall Handbag.

What to Bring

Students will need to bring a piece of lining of 26 inches and a square of cotton wadding measuring 26 inches. Students will also need to supply a basic sewing kit.

Pauline will supply patterns and a kit of 18 Magee Tweed squares of 6 1/2 inches.

Class Times

Saturday Morning, 9:30 am – Noon
